About our small town

The Town of Lattimore was founded in 1899 and is located about 8 miles west of Shelby, NC. At one time, it was home to two railroads and more than 30 businesses. Today, it is a pleasant community with all of the feels of a friendly, small town.

Our Services

  • The Town provides street lighting maintained by Duke Energy for the safety and well-being of our residents. If a street light is out near you, contact us with the street address of the light so we can report it.

  • The Town owns a sewer system that services the vast majority of the Town. The system is maintained and operated by the Town of Boiling Springs, NC.

  • The Price Community Center is located on E. Main Street and may be rented by residents for parties and social gatherings.

  • The Hunt Memorial Park contains a walking loop and two gazebos to be used for recreation. The Caboose Park is located across from The Depot Cafe and is home to a retired caboose from the CSX Railroad.
