2025-26 Budget Hearing
The proposed 2025/2026 budget for the Town of Lattimore has been developed and will be on display for Public Inspection at the Town Hall, 120 Cherry Street, from May 1, 2025 through June 9, 2025.
There will be a public hearing Monday, June 9, 2025 at the Lattimore Town Hall at 6:45 pm to give citizens the opportunity to comment on the proposed budget. The June regular meeting will follow at 7:00 pm when the council will approve the budget for the fiscal year 2025/2026.

About our small town
The Town of Lattimore was founded in 1899 and is located about 8 miles west of Shelby, NC. At one time, it was home to two railroads and more than 30 businesses. Today, it is a pleasant community with all of the feels of a friendly, small town.

The Town provides street lighting maintained by Duke Energy for the safety and well-being of our residents. If a street light is out near you, contact us with the street address of the light so we can report it.

The Town owns a sewer system that services the vast majority of the Town. The system is maintained and operated by the Town of Boiling Springs, NC.

The Price Community Center is located on E. Main Street and may be rented by residents for parties and social gatherings.

The Hunt Memorial Park contains a walking loop and two gazebos to be used for recreation. The Caboose Park is located across from The Depot Cafe and is home to a retired caboose from the CSX Railroad.
